Up for sale we have a real treat with this 1967 Chevy Camaro RS Convertible. This is the 1st year for the car that changed the Muscle Car Industry forever. The one we have for you has undergone a meticulous frame off restoration that resulted in one of the nicest Camaros in the country. It was a one owner car until 2004 and we have several documents from the window sticker to the Protect O Plate. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of the Camaro. From the moment, you walk up on this Camaro you are sure to be impressed. The first thing you will notice is how straight this car is. All the panels line up near perfectly, and all the gaps are even and symmetrical. Everything is covered in the Granada Gold which is the factory color for it. It's accented by the Bumble Bee Black Nose Stripe and Black Convertible top that's new. The paint on this '67 will leave a lasting impression as it has been buffed and polished to a mirror finish that's slick as a ribbon. Now this is a true RS as designated on the cowl tag and window sticker. The hidden headlights work as they should and it's also has the lower body trim and wheel opening molding that looks new. All the chrome and stainless on this car is either new or in like new condition. To finish off the look it's sitting on a set of 15" Rallye Wheels with new centers and rings that are sporting BF Goodrich Red Line tires.
Next, we will move on to the interior of the Rally Sport. On the inside, it's equally impressive being done in the factory colors and options. As soon as you open the door you will notice everything looks like new from the seal plates to the dash pad. The door panels look excellent along with all the interior trim. You'll notice the seat covers have been redone and the console houses the Muncie Four Speed shifter. As you grip the Deluxe RS Steering wheel you will notice the dash all looks like it would have in '67. The Speedo and Gas Gauge are both working and it still has the stock style AM Radio. Even the seat belts look new in this Camaro.
Finally, we will get to the heartbeat of the Chevrolet. Under the hood, it also looks like it would have when new. The firewall and inner fenders are done in black with the engine being painted the stock orange. This Camaro has the original L30 327 275 HP engine that's mated to a Muncie Four Speed and a 10 Bolt Posi Rear End with 3.08 Gear. The 327 is set up with a date code correct Intake and Quadrajet Carburetor. It's dressed with the stock air filter and painted Chevrolet valve covers. Also, this Camaro comes with Power Steering and Power Brakes with Disc up front. For exhaust, it has Manifolds with dual pipes and Magnaflow Mufflers. If you're not in love by now just wait til you look under it. The floor pans and shock towers are excellent. This is a frame off resto and its rock solid with an amazing eye to detail. A New Gas tank was installed along with new gas and brake lines. Under the front end all new ball joints, end link bushings, and control arm bushings have been installed.
