Chevrolet Corvette 1988 Description
Up for auction is a very nice running Corvette . I just rebuilt the motor and transmission just this year and I had the driveshaft balanced with a new yoke and univeral joints . The motor was bored .03 over with new pistons had the crank and cam polished. I also had a valve job done as well I used a quality rebuild kit as well .I had the car apart for 4 years and have not had a charge on the AC yet however when I took it apart (transmission went bad) it was blowing very cold air as I had just replaced the clucth condensor and the orifice tube. I put on a new harmonic balancer plugs wires coil and distributer cap. The transmission was rebuilt to handle about 400 HP. The transmission is very tame when you drive normally and a beast when you launch it . I also have a DVD with pictures and details of the transmission rebuild ( I had plans for the car and then lost interest). The precats have been removed and so has the original catalytic converter. I put on staright pipe up front a high flow cat and high flow exhaust ( straight pipe) Currently since the rebuild I am getting about 23-25 on the highway . Included in the purchase is a fitted indoor car cover (garage kept since I owned it . I have a haynes manual and all the original parts I removed radio speakers injectors and air intake trim ( running a big mouth air dam ) . I currently have a double din pioneer CD player in the car . I do not have the clear top once I got a solid top I found the car would cool easier. The original radio didn't work I think the amp was bad however I kept everything if someone wanted to put it back to original condition . The paint has some stone chips and its not perfect and the same with the interior it has some age and wear . It could use new door rubber moulding the hatchback molding is fine . Everything works although the dash will not keep a memory of the mpg or trip meter they reset when turned off . This is a very reliable car and I would drive it anywhere I also have the car for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I had one fender bender where at low speed(5 mph) I rear ended a car the damage was only on the passenger side and I do know that will show up on the carfax . I never ran a carfax so I don't know the history I bought it from a dealer in Westminster MD in 2006 . I just had the car PA saftey inspected with no problems at the end of April . As I said before I have more pictures on request . I do not have a reserve I do have a good seller rating mainly I think is because I tell it like it is . Like I said I lost interest and another project came up so something has to go. For an additional fee I can trailer the to you depending upon location (east coast)
