Up for sale we have a 1957 Chevy Bel Air 2 Door Hard Top. This beautiful ride has undergone a full body off restoration. With an exceptional eye for detail this is easily one of the nicest '57s on the market today. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of the Chevy, but first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior or the Bel Air. When restored this car was set off the frame, pulled apart, stripped to the metal, and prepped for restoration. This vehicle was put under primer and checked for fit before being pulled back apart for paint. The floors were done in red oxide before paint so that it would have that from the factory appearance. This '55 is done in the Tropical Turquoise and India Ivory two tone paint scheme. The paint has had hours spent buffing and polishing to ensure a deep rich shine that is sure to turn heads. All the stainless was either polished to a like new finish or replaced. All the glass appears to have been replaced along with new seals and new window felt. The bumpers as well as the other chrome was also either replaced or rechromed. The eye for detail is obvious from the quality of the resto down to the little details like the Gold V's and Badges. To finish off the look it's sitting on the body color steel wheels with Wide White Walls and Full Size Hub Caps with Spinners.
Next, we will look at the interior of the '57. On the inside it's done in the two tone Turquoise and Black color scheme that flows perfectly with the exterior. The dash and trim are painted in body color and the door panels are done in the same color scheme as the seats. Also, the headliner and carpet is colored the same. All the stainless trim is in excellent condition along with the gauges and bezels. This Bel Air has had the seat belts added to keep you safe and legal.
Finally, we will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has the same killer eye for detail that is evident with everything being very neat and well detailed. The engine is a '57 model 283 that is painted orange with the black trimmed breather. The trans is a Power Glide Cast Iron. This Bel Air has Power Steering along with Power Brakes that are drum on all 4 corners. Also, it has had the air upgraded to Vintage AC. When you look under this Bel Air it looks awesome. It has had all new bushings installed along with new dual exhaust and a new fuel tank and lines.
