There a reason songs were written about the Deuce coupe, and this awesome 5-window coupe is further evidence that nothing is cooler than a '32 Ford. Equipped with a stout Chevy small block, a brilliant yellow paint job, and handsome ultra-leather interior, this is a slick rod that can definitely walk the walk.
Based on a Russ Nomore body, this chopped 5-window coupe is fiberglass, not steel, which means no actual 1932 Fords were harmed in the construction, and the end result is about ten times nicer than any original you're likely to find. With a traditional rake, a 3-inch top chop, big-n-little tire combination, and a lot of neat details, it sure looks like your traditional hot rod Ford. But then again, that sizzling yellow paint job, well, that looks pretty slick. Execution was first-class throughout, with laser-straight bodywork, excellent panel gaps, and an attention to detail that makes great rods stand out. Lightly tinted glass all around adds to the high-tech look, as do the LED taillights and marker lights on the spreader bar, while details like the shaved door handles and large-scale chrome headlights are traditional components that look right.
Inside, you'll be stunned by the gorgeous tan ultra-leather upholstery. Those are custom bucket seats that are all-day comfortable and supportive enough for energetic maneuvers. There's a surprising amount of room in there, even with the chopped top, and with all the modern conveniences, you shouldn't be afraid to run this one cross-country. The steering column is a beautiful polished tilt unit topped by a slick 4-spoke steering wheel, and the simple dashboard was filled with white-faced Auto Meter gauges. A/C vents have been cleverly integrated into the overall design, and all the secondary controls like the ignition switch are fitted to a cool custom panel under the dash. There's also a powerful AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo system in the overhead console, and it includes a remote control so you don't have to go fumbling for the buttons. And you know this one was built to drive because it has functional cruise control! The beautifully finished trunk is big enough to swallow a week's worth of luggage for two people, making this a real no-compromises rod that can be used in the real world.
Wherever you're going, however, it won't take long to get there thanks to the snarling 350 cubic inch Chevy V8 up front. Topped by a Demon 4-barrel carb and an Edelbrock aluminum intake, the shiny small block has horsepower written all over it. The block itself is painted in Viper Red to stand out against the bodywork, the tinwork is mostly polished aluminum, and the yellow plug wires tie it all together. A big aluminum radiator with an electric fan keeps it cool, and all the plumbing has been neatly routed to making things easy to service. The suspension is familiar, with a dropped I-beam and dropped spindles up front and a Ford 9-inch on a 4-link with coil-overs out back. A 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission handles gear swaps and with 3.50 gears out back, it just loafs along on the highway. Beautiful 15-inch Coys alloys have a vintage Torque Thrust look and wear fresh 155/80/15 front and 255/70/15 rear BFGoodrich T/A radials.
This awesome rod is beautifully built, nicely detailed, and shows just 3150 miles, so you know it's ready to cruise this summer. Just be ready for the crowds that will surely form around it! Call now!
